Veteran center Brendan Morrison will attend the Canucks training camp on a professional tryout contract, according to an Associated Press report on Thursday.
Morrison is a free agent after scoring 12 goals and 42 points in 74 games with the Capitals last season.

Coyotes Invite Kyle Wellwood To Camp
The Coyotes have invited free-agent center Kyle Wellwood to attend training camp on a tryout basis according to the team's website, as reported by NHL.com.
Wellwood, 27, has played 338 NHL games (for Toronto and Vancouver) and has notched 63 goals and 97 assists.
Devils, Parise Haven't Engaged In Extension Talks
Zach Parise will be a restricted free agent after the season, but the Devils hope to sign him to a new contract before he hits the market.
However, New Jersey hasn't had time to negotiate with Parise because of all the Ilya Kovalchuk drama.
Talks aren't expected to start soon as Parise has yet to hire a new agent.
Parise will make $5 million this season and will look for a significant raise.

The NHL has signed off on Ilya Kovalchuk?s latest contract with the New Jersey Devils.
Five weeks after rejecting the Russian?s landmark 17-year, $102M contract with the Devils, the league approved a revised 15-year, $100M deal on Friday after reaching an agreement with the NHL Players Association on an amendment covering long-term contracts.
Jay Grossman, Kovalchuk?s agent, confirmed the agreement in an e-mail to The Associated Press. It was first reported by TSN.
Kovalchuk's Deadline Extended To Friday
The deadline to accept or reject Ilya Kovalcuck's latest contract offer from the New Jersey Devils was extended from Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET to Friday at the same time, the NHL said via statement on its website.
The league and NHL Players' Association agreed to the extension on Wednesday, according to an ESPN.com report.
